Don’t Fear the Rain

Granted, I know the vast majority of you aren’t Pentax shooters and actually do have to worry about a few raindrops on your cameras but the rain should never stop you from indulging in photography. A gallon size ziplock bag, a quick snip with scissors, and a rubber band to hold one end secure at the end of your lens are all you need for a quick rain sleeve for your camera.

Especially for nature photography, rain brings out a completely different side of nature. Wildlife is more active in light rain, either looking for shelter or feasting on bugs stirred up by the water. The light is beautifully diffused by clouds. The entire world truly just changes how it looks. So next time it starts to drizzle, take it as a challenge and an opportunity instead of a reason to stay inside.
